“Rightly Receiving the WORD”

None other than Jesus’ own brother addresses how believers are to rightly receive his brother’s Word, the Scripture.

Obviously, there is more to the book of James than this, but we are only looking at this particular section of James, James 1:19-27. It happens to be in the beginning of the letter, where James is telling fellow Christians how to live faithfully during an extremely difficult time of persecution, even from their fellow Jews. How one receives the Word is key to their faithful living.

This one-week series examines in detail the causes preventing the right receipt of the Word, along with how to correct unreceptiveness. The passages also provides three areas that will be developed in the believer who rightly receives the Word.
